Mike has over 35 years’ experience as an environmental chemist and biologist and has an impressive track record in the following areas: 

* wastewater treatment plant design and operation, 

* chemical, biological and physical treatment processes, 

* effluent surveys, 

* effluent treatability trials, 

* landfill leachate treatment plants, 

* anaerobic digestion, 

* full-scale environmental plant commissioning and troubleshooting. 

Mike has provided work and consultancy services to many industrial sectors, including: metal finishing, (electroplating and organic coatings), steel pickling, galvanising, aerospace, breweries, distilleries, soft beverages, food processing, dye houses, meat processing, detergents production, waste management and contaminated land remediation. 

Mike has set up and managed analytical laboratories, including commissioning UKAS accredited commercial environmental laboratories. As well as having a PhD in Biotechnology, Mike is a graduate of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist, European Chemist, Chartered Biologist and Chartered Water and Environmental Manager.

Mike is responsible for day to day management of a highly professional and experienced team of scientists, covering a broad and diverse range of disciplines.
